Niagara Falls In Canada
Niagara Falls is a massive cataract located on the Niagara River in Western New York and South Eastern Ontario. It consists of two waterfalls, which are separated by Goat Island. The larger cataract is the Horseshoe Falls, which is located in Canada. The Horseshoe Falls is 2600 feet wide and 173 feet high. The American Falls, which is located in the state of New York, is 1060 feet wide and 182 feet high. The Horseshoe Falls carries 9 times more water than the American Falls, approximately 194940 cubic feet of water flows over the brink each second. The Falls were given its name by the area’s first know inhabitants, the Neutral Indians. They called it “Niagara,” which means “thundering waters.” The Neutrals were the first know inhabitants in the Niagara region.

Wayanad
Wildlife Sanctuary is the second largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala.
It is bestowed with lush green forests and rich wildlife. Also known as
the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, this wildlife area houses some of the
rare and endangered species of both flora and fauna.
Established
in 1973, the sanctuary is now an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere
Reserve. It’s bounded by protected area network of Nagarhole and
Bandipur of Karnataka in the northeast, and on the southeast by
Mudumalai of Tamil Nadu.
It
is part of the Wayanad plateau and the vegetation is predominantly of
the south Indian moist deciduous teak forests. Also, the sanctuary has
pastures of the west-coast semi-evergreen trees. The wildlife sanctuary
comes under Protect Elephant and one can spot herd of elephants roaming
in the area.
Elephant
rides are arranged by the Forest Department,Kerala. Discovering and
observing the wildlife while being atop an elephant is an enthralling
and unforgettable experience. Wayanad district has the largest
population of aborigine people in Kerala. The native aadivasis mainly
consist of various sects like Paniyas, Kuruma s, Adiyar s, Kurichya s,
Oorali s, Kattunaikkan s etc. Comprising an area of 2126 km2, Wayanad
has a powerful history. Relicts and edicts found in various parts of
Wayanad speak of an importatnt prehistoric era. Historians are of the
view that organised human life existed in these parts, at least ten
centuries before Christ.
The
sanctuary is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The Western Ghats,
Nilgiri Sub-Cluster (6,000+ km²), including all of the sanctuary, is
under consideration by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for selection
as a World Heritage Site.
Wayanad
climate is salubrious. Average rain fall in this district is 2322 m.m.
Annual rain fall in these high rain fall areas ranges from 3,000 to
4,000m.m. High velocity winds are common during the south west monsoon
and dry winds blow in March-April. High altitude regions experience
severe cold. This place experiences a high relative humidity which goes
even up to 95 per cent during the south west monsoon period. Generally,
the year is classified into four seasons, namely, cold weather, hot
weather, south west monsoon and north east monsoon. The dale, 'Lakkidi',
nestled among the hills of Vythiri taluk has the highest average
rainfall in Kerala. Nelliyampathy Hills, Palakkad - Kerala, india
Nelliyampathy is the
place that is famous for oranges. It is also known as Ooty of the poor.
It is located about 9 km southeast of Nenmara. From the village
Nenmara, in Palakkad district caressed the tops of clouds of the
majestic hill range Nelliyampathy a sight to behold. The height ranges
of hills from 467 m to 1572 m. To achieve Nelliyampathy, take the road
of the product Nenmara Pothundy Dam. There are about 10 turns to

is an attractive option as a place for picnics. As the Ghat road winds

different companies. Nelliyampathy Hills is also known for its orange
cultivation.Private hotels and resorts are located in different places as you go up the hills Nelliyampathy. The state is a charming villa, built during the British rule in India, and has now been changed to a privately owned resort. This Kaikatty, community room is available, which is usually used as a base, who are interested in hiking. Nearby Palagapandy Seetharkundu is where you can get a spectacular view over the valley, and a cascade of 100 m height provides an added attraction. Palagapandy of you can go trekking or jeep to reach Mampara, another point of view breathtaking Nelliyampathy. The area in and around the property has Palagapandy tea, cardamom and coffee plantations with adjoining hills allowing one to catch a glimpse of wildlife in the form of Indian gaur, elephants, leopards, giant squirrel etc. and is also a paradise for birdwatchers.

Who
would have predicted that ordinary rain can do that with a river in a
such idyllic place of Mag-Aso falls on Bohol Island, Philippines.
Everything was normal when suddenly the water began to rise very
quickly, the waterfall started to fall heavily and the river current
accelerated. The two guys who were in the water at that time found
themselves trapped under the waterfall. This continued for several hours
... The bodies of two guys were found a couple days later, 5 km from
this place that seemed to be a little piece of paradise... More images
